I.t Support Advisor

Metcash Retail Technology provides systems integration and business support services for our retail partners serviced by Metcash Food & Grocery and Australian Liquor Marketers. In this newly created role as we are looking to expand our Metcash Retail technology team to support installation and support services for in-store technologies related to our Campbells branches and in store infrastructure.

Reporting to the National Operations Manager, the Support Advisor will be responsible for the implementation and transition of I.T POS infrastructure to our Campbells branches. This role will be responsible for Staging, training & integrating various I.T functions into our corporate stores. This includes Point of sales Software & Hardware, Networking infrastructure - Access points, Network switches and routers and Eftpos terminals.

What you’ll do
- Stage, Implement and Support POS hardware for an POS projects
- Build Testing & Training
- Project manage all aspects of IT system fit outs, principally the co-ordination of contractors for POS, electrical and data, network infrastructure, telephone, security systems and payments
- Create and maintain technical documentation for POS hardware/Software
- Level 1,2,3 - I.T support
- Liaise with IT and business stakeholders to ensure all store systems designs are addressed
- Manage time critical forward ordering for equipment with long lead times
- Ensure structured processes are in place for provision of services required to operate a retail store, POS, Payment systems & Network infrastructure
- Willing to travel on-site locally and interstate

What you’ll bring
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in I.T (either from a retail desk support role or IT support)
- Experience with systems used in retail environments highly regarded, especially Point of Sale, Network, Payment systems and general operations
- Experience in projects and/or rollouts highly regarded
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Must be highly process orientated with unfailing attention to detail
- A positive attitude and the ability to ‘do-what-needs-doing’ to support our business pillar teams, while still performing the primary role of delivering project-based outcomes.
- Open to travelling to different local sites and interstate travel
