Ventia is seeking to engage an experienced **Mechanical Superintendent** to join our newly acquired **Rio Tinto** contract. The role will oversee and deliver a range of projects within the resources sector. Initially you will be working on rock breaker replacements across Rio Tinto's Brockman site. You will have a team of Supervisors and Trade staff reporting to you and you will need to ensure effective deliver of the projects, whilst maintaining a safe environment for you and your team.

**Duties / Responsibilities (but not limited to)**
- Lead a team of Supervisors and Trades staff
- Ensure safe and efficient operation of the business through proactive management of the employees
- Lead the development and implementation of Job WorkPacks
- Ensure environmental risks are considered and addressed for all tasks in area
- Work with client staff to manage environmental risk from process and project delivery activities

**Requirements**:

- Trade Qualification with 5-10 years industry experience in a similar role
- Proficient with Project Diaries
- Ability to interpret and build according to drawings, specifications, and other documents
- Mine site construction experience - Highly regarded
- Experience with an Enterprise Project Management system - e.g., Primavera or Microsoft Project
- Strong report writing capability & stakeholder Management skills
