**The company**

You are looking at international pioneer in the energy efficiency arena who are specialists in providing both energy efficiency certificate creation, as well as energy consulting and advisory services to our commercial and industrial markets.

This group aggregate certificates on a wide scale for our energy market as a whole across all states in Australia for the various schemes. They provide the technical certificate creations and backend compliance for a variety of activities in VEU, ESS & RET such as lighting, solar, M&V, carbon certificates, heat-pumps, hvac, boilers & gas plus much more.

This business is a unique one in comparison to the rest, as this company provide high level technical consulting to our large C&I customers for Net Zero and larger energy pathway solutions, as well as the general certificate creation they do, which is what this role is working with.

**The position**

This role of a Compliance Manager is a key role working closely with the Directors and General Management, you will be overseeing and have full support from a team of x5 who do most of the documentation and general compliance data work, which you oversee afterwards.

You will be working alongside other very experienced industry experts and a brand name that holds very strong place in the market with substantial years of experience and the best possible client list.

Some key responsibilities will include:

- Overseeing and have full support from your compliance team
- Ensuring certificate creation is correct and compliant
- Ensuring quality of documentation and data
- Liaising with industry regulators, administrators & auditors
- Monitor certificate numbers and ensure goals are met
- Quality assurance responsibility for audits
- Working with external auditors for audit processes
- Looking for continual improvement on processes
- Liaising with new client partners on compliance advice
- Staying abreast and up to date with regulations
- Being able to pick up and spot gaps in compliance
- Communicate with various stakeholders at different steps of the process
- Respond to requests for compliance advice for incoming lodgements
- Be able to share advice to third party customers if needed
- Helping train and develop staff

**The experience necessary**

To be considered for this role it is ideal that you are coming from within the certificate or related spaces where you have had exposure to the energy efficiency certificate state based schemes.

Though industry experience is ideal, there is also potential to look at applicants who are not from the industry but possess high levels of compliance and quality assurance capabilities from other industries where you have performed relatable tasks.

The main requirements are:

- Ideally experience working with certificate schemes
- Experience overseeing compliance and quality of certificate documentation, data, reports and lodgements
- Experience in managing compliance processes
- Experience in quality assurance for checked and audited work
- Ability to collaborate and work with a support team, in this instance you have x5 staff under your remit who you ultimately manage and who provide most of the compliance reporting grunt work
- Ability to liaise with various stakeholders eg. industry regulators from the gov, auditors and administrators, and contractors / customers to the business
- Good communication skills and ability to explain process and compliance expectations
- Strong verbal and written skills
