**Please note**: This role can also be filled by a Nurse Manager as per Role Description The Role An opportunity has become available for a Team Leader (Adult Mental Health - Clinical Programs) to join Gold Coast Health (GCH) where the focus of our 12 000-strong team is on providing world-class health care to people living in the Gold Coast, and northern New South Wales region of Australia. You will - Integrate and operationalise key objectives and strategies for a work based culture that promotes and supports education, learning, research and workforce development - Coordinate, formulate and direct policies relating to the provision of mental health care or disciplinary specific specialty services which includes integration of consumer care across the continuum of care - Maintain high level interpersonal and communication skills with members of the multidisciplinary team, consumers and visitors to the service - Lead and manage staff by fostering and committing to consumer safety and quality in the delivery of health care by maintaining and evaluating safety and quality practices and initiatives About you **To be successful in this position you will require**: - A tertiary degree in Occupational Therapy, Psychology or Social Work - AHPRA Registration (Occupation Therapy/Psychologist only) - Eligibility for membership to the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW) - Driver Licence - Evidence of vaccination, or be able to be vaccinated against and remain vaccinated against - Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella (Chicken Pox), Pertussis (Whooping Cough) and Hepatitis B - Tuberculosis screening, to identify if the tuberculosis vaccination may be required - Declaration of serious discipline history must be disclosed - Criminal History Screening will be required for new employees (GCH will cover cost) **Benefits**: - Flexible work options - Career Development - Salary Packaging - Modern Facilities - Diverse Work Culture - Research Opportunities - Up to 12.75% super - 17.5% leave loading Salary - Permanent full time - Base salary ranging from $140 767 - $146 883 per annum About Us The Older Persons' Mental Health Community service provides specialised, community-based multi-disciplinary services, including mental health assessment and treatment, for adults over the age of 65 years ( >55 yr. for Aborignal and Torres Strait Islander) who have a severe and complex mental illness, which is complicated by problems related to ageing. The service engages with consumers in their own home or residential aged care facilities and works collaboratively with specialist aged care services. Support is provided to consumers, their families, and carers across the broad continuum of care, including facilitating smooth transition to other appropriate services. Based in Robina.
