**Description**:
Purpose

The Specialist Support Coordinator will ensure the smooth implementation of a participant’s NDIS plan, by identifying and meeting the needs outlined in each NDIS plan and managing any barriers which arise during the process.

This role will also assist with providing support for additional or more complex needs such as psychological, mental health, and accessing health, education, or justice services. More importantly, this role will represent participants to ensure that NDIS plan outcomes are achieved.

Primary Responsibilities and KPI's
- Engage and collaborate with participants to successfully implement their NDIS plan
- Reviewing a participant’s plan and coordinating appropriate services including the management of complex multidisciplinary teams
- Coordinate a range of support including informal, formal, mainstream and funded providers
- Coordinate, accept and engage NDIA participants
- Assess the needs of a participant and linking participants to a suitable provider ensuring that all needs identified are met
- Provide a range of support for the participant including conflict resolution between the participant and a provider
- Provide advice and support for participant families and external service providers
- Represent the participant as requested
- Produce high quality mandatory reports as per NDIA deadlines
- Partake in the review of packages as per required
- Assist in the planning or booking appointments for support services
- Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Regional & Interstate Travel will be required.

- Establish, maintain and manage effective relationships with relevant industries, employers, clients and stakeholders for effective development of projects.

- Effectively acknowledge and address client concerns as they arise, including taking action in the form of grievance resolution and client satisfaction.

Business Strategy & Performance
- Work closely with the ITEC Health team to drive community outcome performance for the region/s.
- Establish, maintain and manage effective relationships with government agencies, community leaders, industry leaders, and field staff.
- Identify, develop and ensure the groups services are aligned to the needs of the individuals and the community within which they live through a community development approach to service delivery.
- Develop business strategies and implement economically and contractually viable processes and procedures.
- Continuously grow all business opportunities within the region/s inclusive of generating employment pathways and industry relationships to achieve operational outcomes.
- Develop and maintain effective and professional service quality processes and reputations through professional community and industry relationships.

Accountability
- Accept responsibility & accountability for community engagement.
- Ensure ownership of actions, outcomes and strategy of Industry & Client Relations through appropriate transparency.
- Manage the engagement effort to ensure operational, contractual and cultural protocols and needs are linked to all industry and employment teams functions within the group.
- Ensure all financial responsibilities of role inclusive of budget development and scoping of expenditure for projects in undertaken prior to projects commitment
- Maintain confidentiality and adherence to all organisational policies and procedures by self and all members of the team, take action to address breaches when they occur.

Quality & Risk Management
- Ensure all legislative requirements associated with the engagement are undertaken by responsible personnel to ensure compliance with Workplace Health and Safety, Privacy, and relevant Industrial Relations Laws
- Proactively identify all potential risk to the groups reputation and performance and take necessary corrective actions to prevent possible tarnish.
- Undertake regular analysis of industry and employment services to identify any potential risks to operations, outcomes or teams.

Reporting
- Monthly progress report; Client, Industry, stakeholder engagement and associated strategies developed to maximise outcomes for the group. Employment, Training and activities generated f
