**Position Information**:
Parklea Public School is a metropolitan school located in a high socio-economic part of North-western Sydney. We have a student enrolment of approximately 580 with 59% of students identify as speaking English as an Additional Language or Dialect. Our teaching staff includes a combination of both early career and experienced teachers.
Our school has a four-class Multi-categorical Support Unit with 28 students ranging from students Kindergarten to Year 6.
Our school community believes that every student should be challenged, engaged, and empowered to learn and continually grow in a respectful and collaborative environment, building inclusive and trusting relationships. Our teachers are committed to providing students with a contemporary education that is strongly aligned with evidence-informed practices.

**Selection Criteria**:
Approval to teach Primary - English as an Additional Language or Dialect or currently undertaking or currently enrolled in Primary - English as an Additional Language or Dialect qualifications approved by the NSW Department of Education.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build positive relationships with students, parents, colleagues, and the wider school community.
Demonstrated capacity to be a positive, proactive, and collaborative team member to improve educational outcomes for students who identify as having English as an Additional Language or Dialect (EaLD).

If applicable, engagement will be temporary until successful completion of the approved post graduate qualification for teaching English as an Additional Language or Dialect primary as recognised by the NSW Department of Education, which must be completed within 12 months.
