**The opportunity**
- Located in Australia (Melbourne, Adelaide or Canberra)
- Full-time, ongoing role
- Opportunity to lead and enhance the MERL activities across various development and humanitarian programs
**Key responsibilities**
- Develop and refine mixed methods evaluation methodologies and MERL framework, including innovative approaches
- Write and present high-quality evaluation reports and other client-ready deliverables
- Build and manage client/stakeholder relationships, including building stakeholders’ capacity to achieve their objectives
- Prepare high-quality reports and presentations for stakeholders, ensuring compliance with donor requirements.
- Build and manage stakeholder relationships, enhancing capacity and ensuring alignment with program objectives.
- Demonstrating technical excellence, by managing all aspects of projects, from project inception and developing and refining evaluation methodologies using mixed methods to managing data collection, analysis and producing client-ready deliverables in line with clients’ needs
- Lead a range of small to large, complex evaluations from the project inception to close-out
**Selection criteria**
- Undergraduate degree in relevant field (e.g., Social Sciences, Public Health).
- 10 to 15+ years (for Associate Director role) or 5 to 10+ years (for Manager Role) minimum experience in MERL roles within international development, humanitarian, or public policy settings.
- Proven expertise in qualitative and quantitative research methodologies.
- Experience in managing complex projects across multicultural and multidisciplinary teams.
- Experience delivering high-quality MERL outputs, progress reports, and case studies.
- Previous experience working with donor funded programs e.g. DFAT, MFAT.
- Experience working in the Pacific.
