**The role**:
Reporting to the State Warehouse Manager, you will oversee all aspects of our Distribution operations in Shepparton ensuring people and equipment are employed efficiently and distribution activities are performed safely, cost-effectively and in accordance with customer expectations. This is a permanent position that requires a high level of attention to detail, excellent interpersonal and customer service skills to lead a team and achieve timely order fulfillment. As a self-starter, you thrive on motivating your team and bringing out their best, ensuring operational excellence every step of the way.

**What you’ll do**:

- Oversee and ensure the smooth operation of day-to-day functions and use of equipment at the Shepparton Warehouse
- Act as the first point of contact for customers, addressing inquiries, managing storage needs, and resolving issues
- Provide leadership to the Distribution Centre workforce to maximise employee performance and engagement
- Drive continuous process improvement, innovation, and performance accountability across the Distribution Centre
- Ensure adequate labour coverage is in line with peak periods, budgets, delivery schedules, and distribution activities
- Investigate any instances of service failure, loss, or damage to goods, and develop and implement remedial actions to prevent recurrence
- Liaise with internal Visy Logistics teams and Fleet Controllers to ensure the distribution of product is performed to SLA’s.
- Develop daily load building and delivery schedules that maximize revenue per load

**What you will bring**:

- Minimum 3 years’ experience in a Warehouse/DC Manager capacity
- Prior experience in Manufacturing, Supply Chain, or Logistics Industry using MS Office & WMS systems
- Strong people leadership skills with the ability to run a National Distribution Centre
- Demonstrated experience of driving Continuous Improvements within warehousing and transport
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships both internally and externally
