Hitachi Construction Machinery's Mining Support Group plays a key role globally in supporting our major customers by ensuring the link between customer, dealer and factory across our range of mining and construction products.

Due to growth, in this newly created role, we are seeking a dynamic individual to join our team and contribute to our ongoing success. As part of this position, you will oversee the assembly and commissioning of Hitachi mining equipment onsite. Importantly, this role involves international travel and assignments, allowing you to work closely with regional dealers and customers This role reports directly to the Product Support Manager and is based in Brisbane Office.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Oversee the assembly and commissioning of all Hitachi mining equipment scheduled for delivery onsite, ensuring timely and professional completion.
- Provide successful machine support by understanding and following basic maintenance practices in line with company standards.
- Perform troubleshooting and recommend sustainable solutions to ensure timely and satisfactory resolution of issues.
- Assist with scheduled planned maintenance and forecasting of associated parts to maintain equipment at an acceptable level.
- Maintain and manage the performance of Hitachi equipment onsite, ensuring machine availability rates are consistently acceptable.
- Manage and track Factory - Dealer - Customer communications to ensure timely and satisfactory completion of machine engineering issues.

**What We’re Looking For**:

- Proven experience in mining or related industries, with a focus on engineering maintenance leadership or technical/product support roles.
- Strong technical understanding of mechanical and electrical systems.
- Proficiency in interpreting schematics, drawings, and manuals.
- Exceptional diagnostic and problem-solving abilities.
- Competence in using company mainframe systems and Microsoft Office packages.
