**Principal Consultant - Property Risk Consulting**
**What can you expect?**
An exciting opportunity has become available for an experienced property risk engineer to develop their career in our Property Risk Consulting practice.
The services offered by this practice are focused on property risk engineering and loss control, including natural hazards risk analysis/modelling, enterprise risk management, as well as the use of statistical methods and engineering fundamentals to support risk analysis and action planning activities.
This role will primarily focus on the delivery of:
- Property risk consulting advisory services, specifically property inspections and supporting risk analysis for insurance purposes
- Facilitation of risk workshops such as loss scenario analysis / risk reviews
- Facilitation of enterprise / project risk studies

**We will count on you to**:
- Develop structured solutions to client's risk management problems, including research and preparing accurate proposals, assignment plans and report writing
- Build and maintain effective relationships with clients, new business prospects and Marsh brokers
- Develop consistent approaches to the delivery of consulting programs to existing and prospective clients
- Adhere to all established standard operating procedures and maintain accurate records for each project while keeping within assigned budgets
- Generate new and expanded business opportunities and contribute nationally to the development of the capabilities, direction and profile of the practice
- Some interstate and potentially international travel, where relevant for projects, will be required
**What you need to have**:
- A degree in Engineering (eg, Structural, Mechanical, Chemical, Fire) or related discipline
- Experience in working within a risk and insurance environment
- Knowledge of property loss control in industries including but not limited to mining / mineral processing, power and utilities, manufacturing and real estate
- Experience in a leadership role with a proven ability to develop new business opportunities
