**Monday** 12.00 - 20.00

**Our Journey**:
**Support Services is responsible for the provision of non-clinical services that includes food services, patient support, porters, cleaning, linen, pest control, central production kitchen, waste management, car parking, hygiene services and some retail services.**

The General Services department at Casey Hospital requires a qualified Patient Services Assistant to work as part of our team in the Sub-Acute Ward H. We are looking for a flexible person who is keen to fill a permanent part time role with an opportunity to back fill additional shifts where available.

**Shifts available**

Ward H

Monday 12.00 - 20.00
(15 hours per fortnight)

**A Day in the Life**:
Responsibilities will include but not limited to:

- Ward cleaning
- Bed making
- Use of lifting equipment; bed movers and wheelchairs
- Assisting nursing staff as requested
- Transfer & cleaning of ward equipment

**On a Personal Level**:

- Excellent verbal & written communication skills
- A commitment to delivering excellent customer service
- Holds a strong commitment to working effectively as part of a team
- Takes pride in your work with great attention to detail
- Has great time management skills and ability to prioritise tasks
- Flexibility to change shifts or cover staff leave at short notice

**What you need**:

- Certificate III Health Services Assistant (Essential)
- Previous experience as a patient services assistant (Desirable)
- Excellent understanding of patient identification procedures.
- Ability to comprehend and follow written instructions and procedures
- Able to undertake physical work including lifting, carrying and manual handling
- Excellent understanding of cleaning methodologies and infection control procedures
- A strong commitment to working effectively as part of a team
