- This customer facing role provides a high level of administrative support to the judiciary, Commercial Court legal team, members of the legal profession and the public
- The role is VPS Grade 2 - Melbourne CBD based, but with some regular working from home arrangements available
The Registry Officer role sits within the Commercial Court Registry (CCR) of the Supreme Court of Victoria. The CCR delivers high quality, innovative, responsive and flexible support to the judiciary and members of the legal profession. It also prides itself in fostering a collegiate, harmonious work environment, based upon mutual respect, work-life balance and, most importantly, teamwork.
The CCR provides administrative services to the judiciary, legal profession, Court users and the public. Registry Officers provide front-end support for internal and external registry users in practice, procedure and Rules of Court. The role is responsible for maintaining computerised case records, including scheduling hearings, preparing and authenticating Court orders and undertaking data entry. Registry Officers also check legal documents for compliance with the relevant Rules and facilitate public court file searches and requests for access to documents from a range of stakeholders.
