**About the Early Childhood Outcomes Division**
The Early Childhood Outcomes Division leads the delivery of the Early Years Commitment program, including comprehensive investments in the critical first 5 years of life for every child - in child development and in early education and care, making investments that support families and the community now, as well as investing in long term reforms for the future. Key initiatives will include supporting families with young children to access the services they need to support their own prosperity and wellbeing; valuing and growing the early childhood education and care sector and investing in early childhood teachers and educators.
**About the Role**
This role sits within the ECO Program Management Office which supports the five ECO Division workstreams and their multiple projects. Its purpose is to ensure that ECO projects remain efficient and focused on the intended outcomes. It does that by working collaboratively with the specialist teams within ECO Division and across the Department to design and plan projects, and through ongoing support to project delivery.
The PMO is also an important part of overall governance of ECO activity, ensuring we have a consistent and high-quality approach to oversight of the work through risk management, formal reporting mechanisms and engagement, and helping to maintain focus on ‘moving the dial’ to achieve the Division’s intended outcomes.
Your duties will include but are not limited to:
- Providing a range of project management and support services, including timely and accurate project information
- Undertaking research and collating information for reporting, monitoring and evaluation purposes to contribute to good project management
- Proactively identifying program and project risks and issues and ensuring appropriate mitigation strategies are executed in a timely manner.
- Contribute to the preparation and analysis of reports
- Support the PMO to complete tasks and implement project plans to ensure agreed outcomes are achieved
- Undertake a range of administrative activities, including organising working groups and committees, preparing reports and presentations, to support stakeholder engagement

**About you**
- Experience in project management
- Advanced interpersonal skills including a proven ability to motivate, influence, persuade and negotiate with stakeholders at all levels
- Excellent written and oral communication skills, including the ability to prepare program plans, reports, briefings and presentations on projects to a variety of audiences.
- Experience in managing complex and sensitive issues
- Strong attention to detail
- Analytical skills are ideal
**Essential requirements of the role**
- Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline, or demonstrated equivalent knowledge and/or experience.
- A valid Working with Children Check for paid employment.
- Demonstrated understanding of and commitment to the value of public education.
**Key knowledge and experience**
- Knowledge of and commitment to implementing the Department’s Aboriginal Education Policy and upholding the Department’s Partnership Agreement with the NSW AECG and to ensure quality outcomes for Aboriginal people.
