What do we do?

Howden's Total Mine Ventilation Solutions spans the entire lifecycle of a mine operation and provides customised solutions for every stage of mine ventilation. It includes Ventsim Design software for ventilation design and planning and Ventsim Control for connecting and controlling ventilation hardware, as well as a variety of support services including ventilation engineering design and hardware selection.

Howden Ventsim has an immediate need for a motivated Marketing Specialist to produce content to market our software products, including but not limited to: newsletters, brochures, videos, website, social media posts, etc. The role will also be responsible for analyzing the impact of marketing actions and assisting with organizing worldwide events. This role reports to the Manager - Howden Ventsim Australia.

What needs to be done?

More specifically, your responsibilities will include:

- Generate content to market our various software product.
- Write newsletter and sales brochures.
- Update website with latest information.
- Create regular posts on social media.
- Record video for marketing and training purposes.
- Propose new marketing material.
- Generate report on impact of marketing actions.
- Analyse existing sales and marketing information.
- Assist in organising worldwide events, such as, training, webinar and user conferences.

It is fundamental that you present professionally and are comfortable working in an autonomous manner, whilst also being an enthusiastic team player, with the desire to help and support the team. You display excellent interpersonal skills, and you are confident communicating at all levels within the business. You have high accuracy, advanced organizational and time management skills and the ability to handle multiple priorities

Skills and knowledge
- Bachelor’s degree with emphasis in marketing
- Clear understanding of digital marketing
- Excellent written and oral communications skills
- Be willing to learn about engineering topics
- Ability to organize and manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Strong work ethic and the ability to set and achieve goals.
- Relates well to people at all levels of the organization and with customers; builds constructive and effective relationships; can defuse even high-tension situations comfortably.
- Logical problem-solving skills, outstanding organizational skills and dedication to quality and integrity. Proven ability to quickly assess complex issues and identify root causes/key success factors.
- The ability to interact with diverse global cultures and demonstrate effective communication skills with associates, suppliers and customers in a variety of business functions.
- Intermediate skills in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint.

The following would also be highly regarded:

- Website development skills
- Video editing
- Multiple languages are desirable (Spanish, Portuguese, French, Russian, Chinese, etc).
