**About Your Role: Compliance Officer**
As a Compliance Officer within our Underwater Systems team based at HMAS Stirling, you'll play a pivotal role in maintaining the highest standards of safety and quality. Reporting to the Service Delivery Manager, your primary focus will be on upholding the integrity of MU90 Light Weight Torpedo (LWT), ensuring compliance to maintenance and safety requirements, and guaranteeing adherence to top-tier quality standards.
You'll manage essential aspects such as contract documentation, maintenance instructions, policies and procedures; and ensure ongoing compliance with established protocols by maintaining the highest safety and quality control benchmarks.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- **Monitor & Improve**: Oversee quality control processes and safety protocols to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations - driving corrective action where needed.
- ** Risk Management**: Identify potential hazards and compliance risks, crafting proactive action plans and strategies to mitigate risks.
- ** Training & Development**: Provide guidance and training to staff on quality control and safety best practices, and advise leadership on regulatory changes impacting compliance and policies.
- ** Audit & Reporting**: Conduct regular audits and generate detailed reports to track performance and drive continuous improvement.
- ** Collaborate**: Work with, and develop sound working relationships with a wide range of stakeholders to ensure Work, Health, Safety and Environment (WHSE) and Quality compliance - fostering best practices in all of these areas.
**Your Skills**:
- Certification/Diploma in WHSE or Quality Management.
- Proficiency in Quality and WHSE Management Systems.
- Advanced computer skills, especially in MS Office.
- Strong communication skills for internal and external collaborations.
- Proactive, self-starter who can think critically to solve complex problems.
