The GIANTS are on an exciting journey both on and off the field. With teams in the AFL, the AFL Women’s League and Super Netball competitions, the GIANTS truly are a club like no other.

On field, the AFL team has quickly grown into one of the competition’s most exciting teams with several players becoming household names across the country. Likewise, the on-field achievements of our AFL Women’s and GIANTS Netball teams are seeing the club connect with more fans and followers than ever before.

Off field, the club’s exciting, innovative, and fresh brand is growing as it engages with members, fans, the community and key stakeholders across Western Sydney, Canberra and Nationally.

The GIANTS’ AFL and AFL Women’s teams are based at the club’s elite training and administration facility in Sydney Olympic Park, with GIANTS Netball based adjacent at Netball Central.

**Description**:
The General Manager, People & Culture will be required to engage all areas of the Club to drive the existing cultural agenda and execute best practice People & Culture principles across all departments to assist the executive to attract, retain and engage high calibre employees, and to maximise employee productivity.

**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**:
Ensure that GIANTS’ P&C practices are aligned to GIANTS’ strategic and financial plans and objectives.

Support the organisation to deliver P&C fundamentals which include the development and implemention of key strategies.

Lead workforce planning and talent management approaches that enable a high performing, engaged and skilled, flexible, and mobile workforce.

Drive workforce transformation and change management in partnership with the Executive Leadership Team.

Identifying organisation-wide capability development needs and designing and delivering high quality programs to meet these needs.

Work closely with the Executive Leadership team to build and execute sustainable corporate performance improvements and strategic growth

Lead initiatives that encourage diversity in the workplace, creating a values driven, safe employment environment that attracts, engages and retains skilled employees and volunteers.

Provide advice on People and Culture related matters to the Board and ELT and help shape the organisations culture and strategic direction through leadership, insight, and innovation.

Management of annual performance review process including ensuring year end performance reviews are aligned to annual salary increases, training needs identification, and discussions of career progression

Provide advice and counsel to all levels of management on employee relations and dispute resolutions issues, ensuring legal compliance and due process is followed to mitigate business risk.

**Skills and Experiences**:
Formal qualifications in Human Resources, Business or related degree
Strong interpersonal skills; ability to work both at a senior management & staff level
Ability to identify and manage change from both a strategic as well as team perspective
Strong analytical and problem resolution skills; able to make sound business decisions under conflicting circumstances
Strong team ethic
Excellent organisational, time management and problem solving skills
