**Position Information**: Auburn Girls High School is a partially academically selective and comprehensive high school with an enrolment of 850 girls, 98% of students are from a non-English speaking background. The school has increasingly achieved outstanding HSC and NAPLAN results. This is due to a strong commitment in building collective teacher efficacy and using evidence-based practices to target areas including literacy, numeracy and HPGE. The school's motto is: Learn, Lead, Succeed. **Selection Criteria**: Applicants must satisfy the teacher training and academic qualification requirements for this position. In addition to the general selection criteria, - Approval to teach Visual Arts - Highly developed leadership skills to support and supervise staff at faculty level, building a positive and productive team with the capacity to develop innovative programs for students of all abilities. - Highly developed interpersonal skills and the capacity to build positive relationships with students, staff, parents and the wider community. - Demonstrated capacity as a visible leader, who can work collaboratively as a member of a high-functioning executive team and support the implementation of the School Plan and strategic directions. **General Selection Criteria**: 1. Successful teaching experience with capacity to initiate improvement in teaching, learning and classroom practice 2. Knowledge of curriculum, assessment and student welfare with the ability to lead and design quality, inclusive teaching and learning programs 3. Educational leadership skills to build the capacity and manage the performance of individuals and teams 4. Well developed communication and interpersonal skills with the capacity to build relationships and engage students, staff and parents 5. Ability to plan and manage resources effectively and equitably to support teaching and learning 6.
