The Opportunity:
Reporting to the Head of Marketing - Customer, the Marketing Manager
- General Insurance plays a leading role in managing and executing strategic marketing activities to help achieve business objectives and targets for our General Insurance portfolio
Responsibilities include developing and executing strategic acquisition and retention marketing plans, encompassing media planning, digital marketing, and targeted segment campaigns. The role also involves driving a category-led approach to both acquisition and brand marketing efforts and liaising with external partners including our underwriters, intermediaries and agencies and key internal stakeholders including GI Product, Legal and Compliance, Operations and customer Engagement.
The Marketing Manager
- General Insurance collaborates closely with the Performance Marketing and General Insurance product teams to meet objectives, contributes to new product and proposition development, and maintains strong working relationships with external agencies and the in-house creative studio. Additionally, this position carries quality assurance responsibilities and acts as a vital link between teams to ensure campaign collateral is accurate and compliant.
What You’ll Be Doing
Here's what you can look forward to in this role:
- Develop and implement an annual marketing strategy and calendar to meet commercial targets across our General Insurance product portfolio
- Plan, manage and deliver marketing campaigns acting as the day-to-day contact for agencies and our external stakeholders as it relates to campaign management
- Work cross functionally to ensure all activity is integrated, consistent and is delivered to deadlines
- Work closely with the other Marketing Managers and Customer Engagement teams, to ensure integration of key messaging across other communications, audiences andchannels
- Adapt customer communications to ensure relevancy across various customer segments
- Prepare necessary reporting (including post campaign reviews) and planning materials
- Monitor performance and recommend interventions to address under-performance where necessary
- Support the delivery of key strategic projects when required
- Act as a key conduit connecting various teams and guiding approval processes with internal and external stakeholders to ensure accurate and compliant communications.
- Ensure campaigns are compliant with external partner processes, internal and regulatory policies and Bupa Brand guidelines
What You’ll Bring

To succeed in this role, you’ll ideally have:
- A Tertiary qualification in Marketing or a related business discipline (essential) with post-graduate studies in Marketing or related business discipline (desirable)
- Marketing experience within the General Insurance industry and experience working with intermediaries and/or underwriters
- Good understanding of the General Insurance landscape including competitors, distribution models and regulatory environment.
- A demonstrated ability to work within a matrix team structure in a highly regulated industry to deliver business outcomes
- Solid experience in Marketing and/or Campaign Management
- Strong stakeholder management skills
- Strong communication skills.
