The Salvation Army Australia’s Family Violence Stream provides a wide range of services around the country to support women and women with children impacted by family and domestic violence. We offer refuge, children’s and parenting services, counselling, support, men’s programs, accommodation and advice to women and children who are experiencing, or who have experienced, family violence.

The Salvation Army, Bayside Peninsula Family Violence Programs and Services work with service users from a feminist perspective, aiming to empower victim survivors and increase their ongoing safety.

Flexible Support Packages (FSP) are designed to deliver a personalised and holistic funding response to victim/survivors experiencing family violence to assist them to access support to move out of crisis, stabilise and improve their safety, wellbeing, and independence.

We are currently seeking a values-driven Brokerage Practitioner to support The Salvation Army, Bayside Peninsula Family Violence Programs and Services which offer brokerage programs to women and women with children who have experienced family violence. The Brokerage Practitioner will work in a critical role as part of a team to deliver and administer Family Violence Flexible Support Packages which are tailored to meet individual needs and circumstances.

You will successfully
- Participating in Family Safety Victoria (FSV) portal development user groups.
- Participating in monthly FSP forum, delivered by Safe and Equal and Family Safety Victoria (FSV)
- Extracting, analysing, and reconciling Flexible Support Package data
- Developing and implementing a communication plan to Flexible Support Packages service users
- Delivering information sessions in the community services sector that build capacity to access FSP funding

The Brokerage Practitioner will work within Family Violence Services and will have the opportunity to develop, implement, educate, and streamline new systems to support brokerage Programs.

This is a part time position, 22.8 hours per week located in Windsor. A hybrid office/home working arrangement will be considered for this role.

You will have
- A tertiary qualification in Social Work / Social Service is desirable.
- Experience working in the Family Violence sector is desirable.
- An awareness of the issues in the lives of women and children who are experiencing or recovering from family violence is essential.
- Highly developed time management and work prioritisation skills with an ability to work autonomously with mínimal supervision required.
- Experience using Microsoft Office, advanced capability using Excel and demonstrated experience in financial processes and systems.
- Valid VIC Employee Working with Children Check
- Ability to provide proof of Eligibility to Work in Australia
