Job Description

**Position Overview**:
CEA is seeking an experienced and highly motivated **Group Accounts Payable Manager** to oversee and manage the AP function for five legal entities. Reporting to the Group Finance Manager, you will be responsible for managing day-to-day AP operations, ensuring timely and accurate payments to suppliers, and maintaining the integrity of financial processes.

This is an exciting leadership opportunity for someone with a strong background in Accounts Payable, team management, and process improvement.

**Essential Criteria**:
Demonstrated experience managing the AP function across:

- Multiple legal entities
- Multiple systems
- Multiple work locations

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Lead and manage the AP team (located in both Sydney and Perth), ensuring efficient and accurate processing of all Accounts Payable transactions.
- Oversee the preparation and execution of supplier payments and reconciliations.
- Ensure compliance with internal controls, company policies, and relevant legislation.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the Accounts Payable function, optimizing processes and systems.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers, ensuring effective communication and resolution of issues.
- Collaborate closely with other departments to support business objectives.
- Manage month-end and year-end AP closing activities, including account reconciliations and reporting.
- Prepare and analyse AP reports for senior management, highlighting trends and areas for improvement.
- Provide leadership, guidance, and development opportunities to the Accounts Payable team, fostering a positive and productive work environment.

**Key Requirements**:

- Proven experience in an Accounts Payable leadership role, ideally in a group environment. Preferably five years or more experience in managing an Accounts Payable Team
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, accounts payable processes, and financial reporting.
- Experience dealing with multiple systems and legal entities.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Ability to drive process improvements and implement best practices.
