**12 month fixed term contract**

This position performs day to day processing of transactions by matching purchase orders raised by employees and customers to invoices received, and entry and processing of invoices allowing for timely and accurate payment to suppliers.

This position also processes treasury transactions, delivering tangible value through ensuring the accuracy and integrity of all applicable data in the financial and tracking systems, completing bank reconciliations, providing documentation and advice to Traders for foreign exchange deals, and processing settlements.

**Key responsibilities**
- Build and maintain customer relationships, liaise with and respond to internal and external customer account queries.
- Ensure documentation is complete in order to process invoices and payments within the terms of the contracts.
- Execute deal confirmations, matching and promptly investigate any exception to ensure accurate and timely payments, including settlement of Counterparty invoices
- Process high volume of invoices daily, matching purchase orders created by customers/employees to invoices received for goods and services. Ensure accurate and timely payments in accordance to contractual terms
- Process monthly Vendor reconciliations, validating all data entered within recording systems, checking discrepancies and facilitating amendments within a designated time period.
- Complete new vendor onboarding, ABN and bank account verification. Create Vendor account in SAP with correct company and financial details

**Skills and experience**
High attention to detail to ensure accuracy is a key requirement for this challenging role, along with:

- Demonstrated accounts payable experience of a minimum of 2 years
- Proficient understanding and ability to use multiple accounts payable systems (including SAP) as well as management of interfaces between financial systems
- A strong understanding of cash management with a focus on adherence to best payment practices and vendor management
- Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Microsoft Excel
- Strong analytical and investigative skills with the ability to trace invoices and payments for vendor account reconciliation
- Ability to work under pressure, make decisions and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Ability to self-monitor work and set own priorities, in addition to providing technical support and guidance to internal and external stakeholders
- Desire to learn new tasks in a dynamic environment

Highly desirable:

- Bachelor’s degree/TAFE certificate in Business/Commerce with specialisation in accounting and finance or similar
- Account payable experience in the grain industry or commodity trading environment
