We currently have an opportunity for a **Facility Manager **to join our team, to support our client site in Abbotsford. Reporting to the Contract Manager, the Facility Manager role is responsible for the effective delivery of Integrated Facility Management functions related to a premium industrial manufacturing portfolio for global client.
This position is also responsible for planning, organising, and managing activities of the facilities, working closely with various stakeholders, contractors, and maintenance personnel, to ensure that the shutdown is executed safely, efficiently, and within budget.
**What you’ll do**
The role has a broad remit, with key responsibilities outlined below:
- Developing a detailed shutdown plan and schedule, including tasks, timelines, and resource requirements.
- Coordinating with various teams and contractors to ensure that all necessary preparations are made before the shutdown begins.
- Ensuring that all necessary permits, safety procedures, and protocols are in place before the shutdown commences.
- Monitoring progress during the shutdown and adjusting as needed to ensure that the project stays on track.
- Ensuring that all work is performed safely and in compliance with applicable regulations and company policies.
**What you’ll bring**
- Previous experience working with and managing contracts within the Facility management Sector.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively communicate with team members, stakeholders, and clients. This includes written, verbal, and non-verbal communication.
- Ability to organise and prioritise tasks and projects is critical for a project coordinator. This includes creating project schedules, setting deadlines, and ensuring that all team members are aware of their responsibilities.
- Identify problems and develop effective solutions to overcome them. This includes analysing data, evaluating options, and making decisions.
- Sound knowledge of Microsoft Office Package including Word, Excel and PowerPoint; as well as strong knowledge of Corporate purchasing & invoicing systems.
- Engineering/Project Management Business stream studies/qualification, preferred.
