Working From Home : The preparation and delivery of planning and environmental approvals for major linear infrastructure (e.g. rail, road, gas, electricity).

Environmental Planning Program Advisor will work closely with the project's functional leads, Engineering Design, Project Development, Asset Management, Regulatory, Procurement, Finance, Environment and Land teams. The role is responsible in consultation with the functional leads for developing and implementing the strategy to achieve EIS approval and property acquisitions for the major new transmission line. The Program Manager is accountable for delivery of program outcomes in line with the program of works. The Program Manager will also collaborate closely with the whole-of-project program and project managers and the Project Director.

Successful Applicant:

- Tertiary qualifications at degree level in either environmental planning/management/science, or engineering
- Qualifications in project management (advanced diploma desirable)
- Professional experience as a program manager or proven equivalent experience (related to infrastructure projects)
- Demonstrated experience in the preparation and delivery of planning and environmental approvals for major linear infrastructure (e.g. rail, road, gas, electricity).
- Proven experience managing and delivering land access and/or environmental approvals for a state significant linear project (eg transmission, distribution, water pipes, gas lines, roads, rail)
- Strong understanding and experience with the NSW, Victorian and Commonwealth legislation, regulatory frameworks, and procedures governing property access and planning approvals, including compulsory acquisitions
- Significant experience effectively managing internal and external stakeholders
- Proven ability to manage a team of technical specialists and professional staff
- Experience in contract management
- Experience leading multiple teams simultaneously
- Highly skilled in in negotiating project scope, cost, schedule and risk with contractors
