Due to continued growth Cogent Thinking is recruiting for Triage Injury Management Consultants. This role is perfectly suited to Allied Health Professionals who have experience in Occupational Rehabilitation or Workplace Injury Management. The role does not have any billable hours, we manage cases for 1-3 days not months and you are helping people within the first hour of their injury. The work is undertaken telephonically meaning that it can be undertaken from home/our office.
We are currently seeking Allied Health Professionals with experience in Occupational Rehabilitation or Workplace Health. As an Triage Injury Management Consultant, your role is to connect with injured employees and their managers to support them through their workplace injury by offering injury triage, first aid advice, support and linking them into support services and resources available to them. You will be working in a Triage Team which is dedicated to providing personalised health management support and advice to employees who have sustained injuries at work. This is done by using your clinical experience in a corporate work environment.
**Some of your responsibilities will include**:
- Providing support during the initial stages of an injured employee's workplace injury and communicate advice in an engaging and sensitive way;
- Making referrals to treating practitioners within our treater network;
- Summarising medical information and liaising with treating practitioners; and
- Making injured employees feel safe, supported and provide a friendly, customised experience with Cogent Thinking.
Please note, this role is a telephone-based support service. We are looking for full or part time positions to work to work a variety of shifts that range between 7am to 10pm weekdays and/or weekends. The role can be undertaken from home or there is an office in Melbourne which you will have the opportunity to work from.
**Qualifications**:
You will be an Allied Health Professional with AHPRA/ESSA registration who genuinely cares about the health outcomes and the wellbeing of others and is passionate about customer service. You understand that the work you do has real impact on people's lives, so you utilise a thorough approach and follow things through.
You present as a positive, enthusiastic and adaptable personality with high attention to detail and a highly organised and focused mindset. You are task driven and enjoy working within a team.
