An East Melbourne based boutique Brokerage with an incredibly strong reputation is seeking a Technical Claims Specialist to join their team. As a Technical Claims Specialist, you will handle a portfolio of complex and litigated claims while providing advise and guidance to the rest of the claims team.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Management of a portfolio of mixed liability claims including litigated matters.
- Determine the nature of the loss and coverage provided, then effectively negotiate, and investigate each claim while communicating with all relevant parties.
- Point of contact for all complex matters.
- Review all declinatures and provide advice on next steps.
- Assist the team leader in managing complex claims and provided information relating to claim tends.
- Provide advise and technical support to the wider claims team.
- Provide advice on coverage.
- Proactively drive claim progress.
- Interpret policy wording and review of circumstance to ensure coverage is maximised.
- Provide structured claim solutions.
- Liaise with clients, external service providers and other insurance organisations.

**Key Requirements**
- Experience managing a portfolio of mixed liability claims (including PI, Construction and ML).
- Legal qualifications would be advantageous but not essential.
- Strong understanding of complex and litigated claims matters.
- Effective communication, negotiation, dispute resolution and decision-making skills.
- Proven ability to build a strong rapport with service providers and customers.
- Confident in your ability to effectively manage the claims process and all relevant parties.
- Experience IDR and AFCA disputes.
- Experience identifying and managing potential coverage issues.
- Ability to take ownership while working to tight deadlines.
- Team focused attitude with the proven ability to guide less experienced claims consultants.
