High Value and Complex Claims Lead

We are seeking a highly skilled professional to manage a portfolio of high-value and complex Specialty claims.
Key Responsibilities- End-to-end claim management across class actions, cluster claims, and high-value exposures
- Strategic advice on policy interpretation, litigation, and claim resolution
- Collaboration with internal legal teams, panel firms, and counsel to manage legal complexities
- Attendance at mediations, settlement conferences, and court proceedings as required
- Technical oversight and mentoring within the Specialty claims team
- Governance frameworks and reporting for emerging risks and financial impacts
- Alignment of claims strategies across internal stakeholders
- Process improvements and cost reduction initiatives
- Tertiary qualifications in law, business, or insurance
- Industry qualifications such as Diploma in Financial Services
- 5–10 years' experience managing complex liability or professional indemnity claims
- Litigation experience, including briefing panel firms or direct involvement
- Analytical, negotiation, and decision-making skills
- Communication and stakeholder engagement capabilities
- Mentoring and developing team members
- Sound knowledge of relevant legislation and claims systems
