Cyber Security Consultant

**Position Purpose**

This role exists to understand and translate the technical and business requirements into IP network & security implementation to enable a successful delivery of technology solutions. The role will be responsible for implementing and managing a robust & secure end-to-end IP network & security including user devices, backend and cloud systems.

Our client is undergoing a strategic transformation to deliver new business capabilities to meet its strategic plan. This transformation includes the transformation of their core IT systems and implementing digital capabilities to deliver an enhanced customer experience. As a key driver in the change, IT is at the forefront of the design, development and implementation of the transformation. The digital delivery team plays a critical role in supporting this transformation by delivering efficient and reliable digital solutions.

**Role specific challenges**
- Our client's vision for the business transformation will significantly leverage new digital technology capabilities. The incumbent in this role will need establish a good understanding of the company's vision and architect technology solutions that enable the achievement of business strategies and outstanding customer experiences
- They are committed to investing in technology, improving staff capability and implementing efficient technology delivery practices to support the business. They have not established a solution architecture standard for infrastructure solutions. The incumbent in this role must be able to effectively evaluate and design infrastructure solutions while contributing to the creation & evolution of new solution architecture standards

**Key Accountabilities**

**Cyber Security Consultant**:

- Produce business level reporting from Cyber security operational matrix
- Part of the development of the Cyber Security Architecture Capability
- Provide advice on cyber control requirements and security policy
- Improve security posture by working collaboratively with key stakeholders, colleagues, vendors and partners
- Contribute to the delivery of a Cyber Security Program of Work, as well as other Programs across the Group
- Provides expert input and guidance into the planning and design phase of projects to ensure deliverables are consistent with their technology infrastructure

**Knowledge, Skills and Experience**

- Tertiary qualification in Technology, Cyber Security, or related discipline, with proven experience in a similar Cyber Security role
- Highly developed skills in establishing and managing professional relationships, including the ability to understand strategic risk management and enterprise governance objectives
- The ability to work autonomously, and to work with both technical and non-technical stakeholders in an efficient and effective collaborative manner
- Strong personal communication and consultation skills appropriate for all levels of the organisation including proven ability to prepare effective reports, address meetings, facilitate groups and strong skills in negotiation, consultation and conflict resolution
- Extensive experience working in a senior ICT role within large, complex environment
- Experience with ICT vendor service management, SaaS/PaaS/IaaS services, enterprise content management systems, and electronic document management systems are desirable but not mandatory
