**About the role**

The Principal Cyber Security Consultant will provide technical leadership and work closely with key stakeholders to design the cyber security products and solutions through translating technology conditions and business needs into security designs and processes.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Provide strategic direction and expert advice on cyber threat intel and analytics related domains
- Manage, design and develop cyber security service offerings and mitigate current and emerging security threats
- Unify and integrate a number of cyber security initiatives used by the security operation centre to provide enhanced threat intel, threat hunting and management capabilities
- Manage and lead to operate, maintain and continue to improve the cyber threat intel platform to be used by whole of Government.

**Skills and experience**
- Technical leadership in cyber defence solutions and service offerings / cyber threat intel and analytics
- Extensive experience in performing threat hunting, identify potential intrusion or other anomalous behaviour.
- Knowledge of relevant industry security standards and protocols including ISO27001 and National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST), ACSC Information Security Manual and other industry best practices & frameworks.
- Security information and event management (SIEM) systems, i.e., SPLUNK and/or Sentinel
- Network and host-based security systems and technology
