**THE ROLE**

The Manager oversees the delivery of key workforce and industry reform projects in the Children and Families portfolio, homelessness, housing and disability portfolios or broad community services sector. The position requires strong coordination skills, policy and strategy and project management knowledge with a proven track record of delivery, highly developed leadership, stakeholder engagement, communication, and people management skills.

**ACCOUNTABILITIES INCLUDE**
- Oversee workforce strategies in either the Children and Families portfolio, homelessness, housing and disability portfolios or broad community services sector in partnership with the community services sector, peak bodies, DPC, the education sector, and other government departments. Examples of this work include the portfolio specific workforce and industry strategies and the Frontline initiative.
- Manage and oversee the full life cycle of projects to meet departmental objectives including:

- Leading research, analysis and implementation of complex projects based on defined outcomes and outputs.
- Managing and overseeing projects or sub-projects and being accountable for the successful delivery and completion of the projects/sub-projects within resourcing, timeline, and budget parameters.
- Monitoring and evaluating projects to ensure departmental objectives are met.
- Forge strong connections across the department and with external stakeholders to facilitate a partnership approach.
