**Job Description** Your opportunity**

We currently have a new exciting career opportunity for a full time** Banking Officer**to join the NRMA Finance Team, reporting to the NRMA Group Accounts Receivable Manager. As a Banking Officer, you will be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely reconciliation of the financial transactions in the Bank account. This position plays a critical role in maintaining the integrity of financial records, identifying discrepancies, and supporting the overall financial reporting process.

This role is located in our central **Sydney Olympic Park** **Office** with flexible/hybrid working options available.

**What You'll Do**
- Perform daily, weekly, and monthly bank reconciliations for multiple bank accounts to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Review and match transactions in bank statements against internal accounting systems.
- Investigate discrepancies between bank statements and internal records, and resolve any issues in a timely manner.
- Collaborate with other departments, including accounting, operations, and treasury, to reconcile financial data and resolve any variances.
- Maintain accurate records of reconciliation processes and document all related processes and adjustments.
- Ensure all reconciliation tasks are completed in accordance with established timelines and company procedures.

**What You'll Bring**
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (preferred).
- Proven experience in bank reconciliation or financial operations.
- Strong understanding of banking transactions, accounting principles, and reconciliation processes.
- Proficient in accounting software, Microsoft Excel, and financial systems.
- High attention to detail and accuracy in handling financial data.
- Ability to analyze financial data, identify discrepancies, and take corrective actions.
- Strong communication skills to interact with internal departments and external financial institutions.
- Knowledge of relevant financial regulations and compliance requirements.
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
