We are the largest cancer charity in NSW and our point of difference is that we work across every area of every cancer, from research right through to support. **About the team** This role sits within the Community Engagement team who works at a local level to form sustainable relationships to ensure Cancer Council NSW have a visible and relevant presence in community and can effectively respond to our communities' insights and needs. Based primarily in our Parramatta office with flexibility to work from home the role will cover communities across the Greater Western Sydney region. This role requires excellent relationship management skills, experience in fundraising and delivering events and an ability to use data and local insights to optimise fundraising efforts. **About the role** This is an exciting full-time permanent role that drives the local community to raise funds, via fundraising campaigns and events, for Cancer Council NSWs research, prevention, support services and to build the profile to become the local charity of choice. Internally this role is known as **Community Relations Coordinator **and has key fundraising responsibilities across the community. - Plan, book, deliver and evaluate a number of events in community. - Identify, build and maintain relationships with supporters and key community stakeholders to effectively deliver community fundraising initiatives. - Support the development and local execution of operational plans to optimise community fundraising and supporter experience. - Monitor local supporter and community fundraising insights to ensure effective and efficient response to challenges and opportunities. - Collaborate with local team and key internal stakeholders to integrate impact of Cancer Council programs and services into fundraising initiatives. - Build and maintain effective working relationships with key roles across CCNSW - Recruit, coach and manage volunteers to support Cancer Council in the delivery of fundraising initiatives. - Inspire volunteers through recognition and learning and development opportunities. **About You** - Demonstrated fundraising experience or experience raising revenue - Strong relationship, account and/or event management experience at an operational level - Sound understanding and experience in relationship management and community engagement. - Excellent interpersonal, communication and negotiation skills with the ability to adapt. - Well-developed organisation and project management skills. - Experience in working effectively with volunteers, committees and/or community groups. - High level computer literacy in Microsoft Office. - Demonstrated understanding of working with priority populations and experience in developing the public profile of a community-based fundraising initiative, will be looked on favourably. - Work flexible hours (including some weekends and evenings) - Class C driver's license **About the Benefits** - Work for purpose and know that your work fosters an engaged, diverse and culturally aware organisation. - Access to flexible work arrangements including a balanced approach to WFH and office. - Generous salary packaging options that can increase your take home pay by paying certain expenses using pre-tax dollars up to $15,900 a year. - Additional performance-based leave available. - Discounts available for everyday expenses such as private health, retail and fitness. - Recognised for Voice Project's 2021 "Best Workplace" Award.
