**About The Role**
- Working within the Climate Resilience Solutions team in the PEXA Digital Growth Business, you will collaborate closely with data engineers and scientists, cloud engineers, and product owners to gather, understand and translate business requirements relating to ingestion and storing data into technical user stories and functional requirements to ensure the data vision and goals are delivered promptly.
- As a Senior GIS Data Analyst, you will play a critical role in our organisation by utilising your expertise in Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and data analysis to support our environmental risk assessment and mitigation projects.

**What you’ll be doing**:

- Contribute to successful project delivery by providing spatial services, including spatial analytics, data management, research and geospatial advice to solve complex land use challenges;
- Improving the efficiency of data processing
- manage and maintain spatial databases to ensure the accuracy and integrity of spatial data;
- Administering and maintaining data update procedures - SQL, Python
- Provide ongoing development of the GIS system to support the business and the changes that evolve
- Participate in all aspects of project design and development, including data management and analysis, coding, quality assurance and debugging
- Perform Geodatabase functional and technical design.
- Manage spatial datasets in vector and raster formats to include data input/edits/updates, and establish data standards and specifications.

**What you’ll bring to the table**:

- Tertiary degree in a relevant discipline or equivalent course of study (Spatial Science, Geoscience, Computer Science, Information Technology) or relevant experience
- A minimum of 4 years experience working with data analysis and models
- Demonstrated high-level technical, analytical, research and problem-solving skills with the capacity to think innovatively and make recommendations based on the analysis of business requirements and needs
- Good understanding of corporate data principles, including security, governance and auditing policies
- Knowledge and experience in using FME, Python scripting or Model Builder to automate processes
- Experience using R Studio for predictive modelling is an advantage
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Exceptional attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- A passion for innovation and the drive to continuously
