**About the role**

Inner West Council is seeking an energetic team player with a strong work ethic to join our organisation as a Parks Maintenance Plant Operator.

This exciting role involves the delivery of day-labour services for the maintenance and improvements of Council's park, sportfields, open space and recreation areas such that the works and services of Council contribute to the desired community outcomes as outlined in the Community Strategic Plan.

Working as part of the Parks & Streetscapes service unit and reporting to the Parks Maintenance Team Leader you will undertake work and activities to help ensure that the team consistently meet its targets and commitments against your individual and team performance plans and Council’s Operational and Strategic Plans.

You will be community focused and work collaboratively with the parks and Streetscape Operations Manager and the Coordinator Parks & Sportsfields Maintenance to ensure the success of the service unit.

**Remuneration**

$62,582 to $69,011 + Superannuation

**Some of the required skills, experience and qualifications**

1. Relevant horticultural qualification OR equivalent industry experience in parks and sportsfields operations.
2. Ability to work without close supervision.
3. Good interpersonal communication skills.
4. MR Driver’s Licence (for truck operating positions only) or willingness to obtain
5. NSW Class C Driver’s Licence
