**Your Role**:
The primary purpose of this role is to drive the development and accomplishment of goals established for profit, growth, service and producer relations for all classes of business within the Major Accounts Division for the Australian region, while also contributing as a senior technical underwriter with respect to Casualty products. This role extends to fostering relationships with major customers and brokers by demonstrating Chubb’s commitment to deploy its global coverage and risk management capabilities to meet the specialized needs of major customers.

**Your Responsibilities**:
Achievement of the Budget
- Key driver in achieving the budget for MAD Australia, Casualty. Sets the standards for communication of strategy to ensure profitable portfolio.
- Assist in the positioning and negotiations associated with delivering profitable transactions to achieve financial plans for all applicable product lines in the Major Accounts Division.

Underwriting Process / Analysis
- Follows established underwriting guidelines for Casualty products and within the scope of delegated authority, determines acceptability of new lines and renewals.
- Consults with LOB product managers on risks exceeding delegated authority.
- Provide technical leadership for underwriting/marketing in the LOB product or MAD including risk referrals and portfolio management; serves as a resource regarding unique coverage needs
- Consult with MAD Manager on retention and prospecting activity
- Provide expertise in speciality line of business to major customers, brokers and MAD team
- Maintains awareness of claim activity with assigned book and communicates with adjusters as needed.
- Monitors underwriting results and premium and loss trends.
- Oversees underwriting judgement and authority of less experienced members of staff.

**Qualifications**:
**Your Skills & Experience**:

- University Degree in Business/Commerce or Insurance Studies to Senior Associate level or applicable tertiary qualifications and/or a desire to complete.
- Broad knowledge of the Insurance Industry and specific underwriting/marketing proficiency in Financial Insurance gained through five (5) or more years of applicable experience.
- Proven analytical skills necessary to judge the desirability of complex or unusual risks within the Casualty portfolio.
- Demonstrated effective communication, interpersonal, negotiation and decision making skills to be capable of dealing with and presenting to all levels of Chubb personnel as well producers and clients.
- Strong producer/intermediary relationships in the insurance market and the ability to present marketing and educational presentations to producers.
- Organisational capabilities to work independently and utilise appropriate automated tools with mínimal administrative support.
- Ability to implement general business procedures and practices as evidenced by completion of a business related college curriculum, management training programs, or relevant business experience.
- Ability to work autonomously and demonstrate leadership qualities within a small team.
