Captain’s Candy at Ashmore is a retail store, but not any old store full of Karen’s Captain’s Candy is a store people love to visit and our customers are pleasant and extremely happy to shop here, no upsell is required.

Retail experience is not a pre-requisite, however understanding exceptional customer service is If you’re a consumer - you already know what exceptional service is and we want you to exhibit the kind of service you want when shopping.

We are looking for a superstar Yes we have high expectations and they’re big shoes to fill but we know you’re out there Our superstar will have a varied role and no 2 days will be the same. You will be the first point of contact for our customers as well as a pro-active admin wizz to support the business owners. Can you greet and serve our customers with a bubbly and approachable attitude (even when your feet are hurting or you're in the middle of data entry)? Can you assist our customers who have endless questions or just want a chat even when you’ve got 50 other tasks needing to be completed?

Our superstar will have extremely high admin skills and attention to detail and we don’t use that phrase loosely - we want someone who craves perfection in everything they do and demonstrates care factor. You’ll learn to identify when you see something in the sales system that needs attention and you’ll be driven and eager to get it resolved. You’ll have admin skills that will allow you to navigate the Point of Sale, eCommerce and Social Media platforms with confidence and have a desire to want all admin processes to run efficiently and seamlessly. Our superstar will be capable and willing to take on some higher level tasks from time to time, but just as comfortable to take a back seat on others whilst at all times will be a reliable, dedicated and passionate support to management.

If you possess the following skills, we want to hear from you:

- Attention to detail and high level of accuracy
- Punctual and reliable with a bubbly and warm demeanour
- Passionate about customer experience
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with a wide range of people from all walks of life
- Proficient in Microsoft Office in particular Excel, Outlook and Word
- Exceptional time management and organisational skills

Being a newly created role, the hours are not set in stone and therefore we can negotiate hours that work for both of us (but within the realms of our usual store operating hours 9-5pm). Salary is also to be discussed as it will be dependent on the type of employment and hours negotiated, however will be above award for the right applicant.
