We are a new small community cafe located in Waterloo underneath a residential building. Looking for an experienced, passionate and enthusiastic cafe manager to lead our team, create and maintain high standards of hospitality and service.

You will need to demonstrate passion as well as a desire to help grow the business, work independently and in conjunction with owner. Both kitchen / cookery / coffee / barista theory and experience will be valuable and the ability to provide warm hospitality to all of our customers is paramount.

**_Responsibilities for shop manager: _**:

- Team Leadership: This includes running the shift, provide feedback and training to all staff as well as being an ambassador for the cafe
- Customer Service: A warm, bubbly personality is required. We strive to exceed expectations and we offer a welcoming environment to anyone walking through the door
- Roster Control: This includes maintaining efficiency, with accurate rostering
- Administration Control: This includes the supervision of stock control, purchasing and wastage
- Quality Control: Of all areas of cafe operations from suppliers, to food, drinks, service

**_Qualifications for shop manager: _**:

- 1+ years of team lead, supervisory, or management experience
- Strong working knowledge of proper food and beverage service and kitchen operations
- Experience and skill to assess staff capabilities and workloads and redistribute when necessary
- Strong understanding of food handler responsibilities and personal safety policies
- Knowledge in cash handling procedures and reconciliation of multiple cash banks and reports

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time
Part-time hours: 30 per week

**Salary**: From $24.00 per hour

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Sydney NSW: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)

**Experience**:

- Barista: 1 year (preferred)
- Food handling: 1 year (preferred)

Work Authorisation:

- Australia (preferred)
