Due to continued expansion and advancement for business employees, they seek an experienced Design & Engineering Manager to implement and support their growth strategy.

**From an operational and delivery perspective, the Engineering & Design Manager will**:

- Oversee the key functions of the Engineering and Design department, including:

- Product design and prototype manufacture
- Engineering support for production, and;
- Engineering support for customers.
- Align the priorities of the Engineering and Design team with the priorities of the
- business
- Contribute to the development of business strategy and objectives.
Implement transparent, data-driven reporting against objectives for each functional area and for production operations as a whole.
- Lead, Coach and grow the Engineering team's capability and skillset
- Ensure all stakeholders hold an appropriate level of competency in Design and
- Engineering Processes by providing training and assessing competencies where
- required.
- Identify risks relating to processes, and deliverables and work with stakeholders to define and implement risk-mitigating actions.

**To be successful in this role, you will have experience as an Engineering & Design Manager within a similar company. You will have experience across the following**:

- Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Manufacturing Systems or relevant engineering field, or equivalent experience preferred.
- Experience in the management and lead of an Engineering and Design department to meet business objectives.
- Experience in the setup, development and continued adoption of processes, systems and procedures to drive the required outcomes for customers and partners.
- Experience in the development and lead a culture of continuous improvement across an Engineering function.
- A background in a Design Consultancy, OEM, or Product design business that delivers Product design and prototype manufacture.
- Exceptional Team Lead and management experience, ability to drive a sense of role ownership and accountability within a team environment.
- Experience in managing the performance of individuals by setting clear and reasonable
- expectations and providing appropriate training and support.
- Background in high-performance team and individual development ensuring the teams are engaged, motivated and committed to continuous improvement.
- Experience in industries that are highly regulated - aerospace, defence, medical devices/technology, industrial safety electronics etc.
- Self-driven with good time management and prioritisation skills.
Ability to successfully collaborate with technical and non-technical staff.
