About the School Kelvin Grove State College is a vibrant P-12 school located just three kilometres from Brisbane's CBD. About the Role As the Deputy Principal at Kelvin Grove State College, you will join the Junior School team. In this role, you will support the implementation of the Junior School strategic plan and lead the Positive Engagement P-12 strategic agenda. You will be responsible for improving educational outcomes for students, developing the quality of teaching and learning, and nurturing positive relationships between students, staff, families, and the wider community. This position plays a key role in supporting a consistent and aligned approach across the early years and the broader college context. Your Responsibilities As the Deputy Principal, your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to: Work collaboratively with and support the Junior School Principal to shape and implement strategic planning and foster a positive collegial culture within the department. Lead the development, implementation and review of Prep - 2 programs, faculty initiatives and activities. Lead the development, implementation and review of Prep - 2 teaching and learning strategies in specified programs. Contribute to the development of workforce capability, through the leadership of specified professional development and the targeted coaching and mentoring of staff. Lead the P-12 Positive Engagement Portfolio, within the P-12 Culture of Belonging Pillar, with a focus on Student Engagement and Restorative Practices. Lead the development, implementation and review of Prep - 2 teaching and learning strategies in specified program development, implementation and review of Prep - 2 teaching and learning strategies in specified programs. Undertake specified administrative tasks. Deputise for the Junior School Principal, as required.
