Australian Bus and Truck is looking for a highly motivated Assistant Service Manager with a passion for customer service and the ability to lead and co-ordinate the team.

Our Bus Service Department is a busy and energetic environment with a constant flow of customers seeking your support, help & guidance.

**About You**

With excellent communication skills, the ability to manage priorities, people and time, you will bring with you, solid exposure to the transport industry including knowledge of Warranties amongst the leading Truck and Fleet brands.

**About the role**

Due to the expansion plans of the Bus workshop team, we require additional resources. We are seeking a highly motivated Assistant Service Manager to join our team in Dandenong South. Reporting to the Managing Director, the ASM will be responsible for planning and coordinating the maintenance of trucks and Buses and Dealing with internal and external customers.

**Duties**:

- Overseeing the service team (5-8 reports)
- Strong knowledge of warranty processes.
- Leadership of the team is key to focus.
- Responsible for general day to day running of staff including allocation of tasks.
- Dealer Management System and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Heavy vehicle - Understanding and experience.
- Safety - Strong focus.
- Oversee day-to-day scheduling of maintenance on Buses & trucks.
- Managing vendor relationships to schedule work.
- Manage work in progress and provide updates.
- Provide high level of proactive customer service to stakeholders.

**Skills & experience**
- Prior heavy vehicle experience is essential.
- Trade qualification in Light or Heavy Mechanics is highly regarded but not essential.
- Prior leadership experience will be highly regarded.
- Strong communication skills.
- Ability to remain highly organised and manage conflicting priorities.
- High level of attention to detail.
- Intermediate Microsoft Office skills.

**Salary**: $75,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
