Job Description

This role is responsible for **co-ordination of all aspects of the Service Department** so as to meet quality, cost and service commitments to our customer base. The Group Service Manager will be able to work as a **key member**of the State Management team and communicate with our other Group Service Managers to facilitate continuous improvement in processes and business opportunities.

**MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Implement strategies to grow the service department
- Ensure the Service Level Agreements are met
- Assist accounts department by resolving customer enquires or disputes arising from debt collection
- Ensure compliance with service and other company procedures
- Management of service personnel ensuring labour and resources are assigned efficiently
- Identify training needs and schedule technical training in liaison with the National Technical Trainer
- Responsible for financial performance of the service department
- Customer liaison
- Responsible for managing Work in Progress (WIP) in line with Company policy
- Report on sales revenue/gross profit aspects of the service department on a daily basis to the State General Manager and the National After Sales Manager
- Responsible for the preparation and submission of quotations for used equipment repairs
- Field service visits to assess quality of work undertaken by field service technicians
- Ensure administration tasks are completed by the Service Administrator within acceptable timeframes and in accordance with company procedures
- Ensure compliance with the relevant OH&S requirements
- Contribute to the participative arrangements and communication strategies for managing OH&S risks in the workplace
- Identify recruitment requirements and liaise with the State Manager and Human Resources department for successful recruitment and selection

**ROLE REQUIREMENTS**:

- Minimum 5 years management experience within a similar industry
- Strong people skills with a focus on customer satisfaction
- Strong understanding of department profit and loss
- Excellent time management skills
- Ability to present growth and development planning ideas
- Trade background/qualification
