Skytech Group Pty Ltd provides telecommunication, communication infrastructure, field services, civil construction, hydro excavation and asbestos removal related services across Australia. We are based in Bundoora VIC and seeking a full-time and ongoing Telecommunications Field Surveyor/Linesworker.

The base salary offered is $80,000 - $90,000 per annum (excluding superannuation).

The Telecommunications Field Surveyor/Linesworker will perform the following duties:

- Examine field surveys, specifications and work areas to determine positioning and connections for equipment to be installed.
- Install and maintain aerial lines, conduits and telecommunications equipment.
- Test and maintain aerial and underground wires and cables.
- Escalate risks and problem solving to minimize the impact of any issues that arise.
- Coordinate professional traffic management and site set-ups by subcontractors.
- Work in conjunction with employees, sub-contractors, engineering, HSE and quality team to ensure safe, on-time and cost-effective construction solutions.
- Provide field supervision to deliver work packages end to end: mobilization, pipe proving, pit and location validation data, civil management: high pressure flush, civil blockage repairs, asbestos and plastic pit remediation.
- Understanding and implementing ‘NBN-CON-STD-3188 NBN Build Standards.
- Manage subcontractor compliance e.g., documentation, workmanship, quality.
- Managing and maintaining data inputted into GIS Survey Platform.
- Provide in-field progress updates.
- Report and escalate issues through to management for further discussion.
- Liaise with engineering team and provide civil solutions and fibre re-designs while working with the engineering team, to achieve efficient constructable solutions.

The applicant must have the following skills/experience requirements:

- Degree qualifications in IT, Construction management or Engineering preferred
- 2-5 years’ experience in a Telecommunications Design/Engineering and Construction environment
- Advanced knowledge of general Microsoft IT Applications
- Planning and project management skills and a demonstrated ability to communicate across a broad spectrum of stake holders
- High level numerical analysis skills and the ability to provide clear conclusions and recommendations on complex issues
- Strong work ethic and a disciplined approach
- Knowledge of property and leasing matters within a telecommunications environment
- An interest in communications and information technology

Pay: $80,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
