The Opportunity

Newly created due to growth, this role will be based at our Tullamarine Depot and with regular field presence, the Delivery Manager is responsible for the direction and control of all construction and maintenance delivery activities on electrical transmissions projects and the overall program to ensure the achievement of business objectives.

Key responsibilities:

  • Lead a team of Electrical Distribution Linesworker ensuring safe working conditions for all employees contractors and visitors

  • Direct and control off site construction activities on project to ensure that standards of quality, cost, safety and performance are observed and that time schedules are met.

  • Interface with design, procurement, commercial, quality, and material logistic to ensure construction activities can take place immediately once on site.

  • Monitor physical and financial progress of work.

  • Liaise directly with client to maintain high level customer service relationships.

  • Monitor the workload and progress of Teams to ensure most effective use of resources. Determine any changes required in employee numbers to achieve present and future project objectives.

  • Establish clear communication, solid lines of control and delegation to sub-ordinates and actively create and maintain a culture of openness, responsiveness, honest, ethics and responsibility across the team.

  • Manage the selection and training of all team members, building a high skilled, performance focused, innovative, passionate team.

Ideal attributes

  • A minimum of 10 years industrial/commercial construction experience with a minimum of 5 years management experience working on construction projects or similar

  • Qualifications and experience within electrical transmission and distribution environment or similar

  • Would suit someone who enjoys leading and managing a field team, with a chance to be recognized and rewarded for building a high performing team
