Assistant Food and Beverage Manager

Bankstown Sports is looking for an Assistant Food and Beverage Manager to ensure the successful delivery of day to day operations of the Food and Beverage function. With multiple bars and restaurants including La Piazza, Basement Brewhouse, Lucky Cheng's, Helmut's Haus, Greenfield Station, Rainforest Bar, Terrace Bar, Atrium Bar and our newly created Lady Banks Rooftop Bar this opportunity would suit a passionate hospitality professional with experience managing busy and high demand. This role would work closely alongside the Food and Beverage Manager and be apart of exciting operational and strategic objectives.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Responsible for all areas of food and beverage operations
- Ensure all customers are provided with exceptional service
- Ensure that all bar and restaurant operations are opened and closed according to service standards
- Co-ordinate stock take on a monthly basis
- Oversee cellar operations
- Review and develop rosters for the food and beverage department
- Monitor employee performance
- Maintains the beverage reporting system and report all abnormalities
- Assist with co-ordination of equipment and/or plant installations
- Assist with providing required financial reporting
- Assist the Food and Beverage Manager in the negotiation of supply agreements
- Assist with monitoring purchasing and receiving procedures for products to ensure proper quantity, quality and price
- Assist in developing operating budgets and reporting
- Assist with the development of standard operating procedures for revenue and cost control
- Assist with developing and implementing promotions and marketing activities in conjunction with Marketing Team IT
- Assist with establishing quantity and quality output standards for personnel in all positions within the department
- Assist the Food and Beverage Manager to ensure compliance with relevant legislation
- Approves all invoices prior to submitting to finance team
- Assist the Food and Beverage Manager to manage beverage staff, including training and performance management
- Assist the Food and Beverage Manager with the coordination and management of staff for the beverage department including training and performance management

**Essential Criteria**:

- RSA and RCG Competency Card
- Food Safety Certificate
- 2+ years restaurant supervisory experience
- Experience working in a bartending or similar role
- Ability to provide leadership support and direction
- Ability to work a rotating roster including days, nights and weekends
- Ability to multi-task and work under pressure in a dynamic, fast paced environment
- Current First Aid Certificate
- Immaculate personal presentation and grooming
- Diploma Hospitality Management or similar qualification
