**About Northern Beaches Hospital**
Operated by Healthscope, Northern Beaches Hospital (NBH) is located in Frenchs Forest, only 13kms north of Sydney CBD. The hospital is a contemporary 488 bed facility comprising of 60% public and 40% private beds. Providing a wide range of health services to the local community, including Surgery, a 50 bed Emergency Department, Intensive Care, Birthing, Paediatrics, Cardiac, Mental Health, Dialysis, Cancer Centre and Outpatients.
NBH has 13 operating theatres, one hybrid/cardiac catheter theatre, two Catheter Laboratories and four endoscopy procedure rooms, all supported by a critical care unit which includes two intensive care wards.

**About the Role**:
The Service Manager is responsible for providing leadership, operational management including finance and workforce, business development and support, advice and guidance to the Deputy Director of Nursing and Director of Nursing.
The Service Manager will work in partnership with the Chief Operating Officer, the Director of Medical Services and the Clinical Director of Mental Health.
The position is responsible for the delivery of key clinical and operational performance indicators including patient safety, patient experience, quality, staff wellbeing, budget and labour hours management at Northern Beaches Hospital (NBH). The position provides operational support to the Nursing Unit Managers (NUMs), Clinical Nurse Consultants (CNC), After Hours Nurse Managers and other nursing leads. They work in partnership with nursing senior leaders, Visiting Medical Officers, other medical teams, the Executive, Healthscope Corporate Office, Northern Sydney Local Health District, local organisations and education providers.

Reporting to the Deputy Director of Nursing, you will be well supported and developed by the Director of Nursing, Senior Nursing team, Senior Medical Staff and the broader leadership team.

In this role, you will have:
- Registration as a Nurse (level 1) with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
- Bachelor of Science (Nursing) or equivalent
- Post Graduate qualification in nursing leadership and management at degree level or higher or an equivalent level of experience
- At least 5 years experience in an acute healthcare facility in a management role
