**The Role**
Exciting opening within Logistics Assurance Branch Canberra for an APS 6 Programs Execution Manager. You will be leading key Defence Inventory and Assets Assurance Sampling Programs and have opportunities to travel around Australia working with key Defence stakeholders.
As the Program Execution Manager, you will be:

- Accountable for the execution and remediation of the Directorate’s key deliverable, the annual Defence Inventory and Assets Assurance schedule. Providing assurance over the accuracy of holdings to support preparedness and Defence’s financial statements.
- Lead teams to travel to Defence bases around Australia, observing stock management within warehouses and supply customer accounts, liaising with various key stakeholders to achieve program outcomes
- Interrogating data within Defence inventory management systems, consolidating and reviewing program results to provide detailed analysis to various management levels, including the Commander Joint Logistics
- Involved in the future direction of the Logistics Assurance network through the development of new enterprise resource planning programs

**About our Team**
The Directorate of Logistics Assurance Programs (DLAP) is embedded within the Logistics Assurance Branch and provides the Commander of Joint Logistics with the capability to influence logistics performance across Defence. To do this, the Directorate monitors the health of the overall Defence logistics system at an organisational level.
DLAP is responsible for the overall management and technical control of the Defence Logistics Compliance and Assurance Framework, which includes six independent assurance streams. The requirement across the streams include scheduling, coordination, and the execution and reporting of Defence’s Inventory and Asset Assurance Sampling Programs annually.

The team is geographically located in Canberra but with local teams embedded across the country in key Logistics Business Units. The main function is to provide compliance and assurance over Defence’s Supply Chain policy through sound governance regime.

As the Programs Execution Manager, you will be required to work autonomously and within a team to deliver sampling programs per the Defence Inventory and Assets Assurance schedule. Additionally you will be responsible for drafting and providing advice and guidance on Supply Chain management policies and procedures.
