Our client, who are based in Tomago NSW, are looking for an experienced
**Payroll Officer** to join their team. The successful applicant will ensure the accurate and timely processing of weekly, fortnightly and monthly payrolls across various Modern Awards, Employment Contracts and an Enterprise Agreement.

We are looking for an energetic and meticulously organised person who is passionate about people and numbers.

This role reports to the Finance Director, supporting the finance and accounting team in routine reconciliations and cyclical reporting, payroll tax returns, superannuation payments and assisting in software improvement projects all while meeting statutory requirements and strict company deadlines.

**You will be responsible for**:

- Payroll processing (various cycles and Australian States) ensuring compliance to company procedures
- Related payroll tasks such as payroll adjustments, leave reconciliations and reporting
- Liaising with internal (Office/Site Managers) and external (ADP Payroll) stakeholders to accurately process payroll
- Processing and compliance with legislative requirements including PAYG withholding tax, payroll tax, superannuation and workers compensation payments
- First point of contact for payroll enquiries liaising with HR for a timely resolution
- Ensuring new employees are setup accurately in ADP including Masterfile changes
- Provide administration and financial support to the team as required

**To be successful, you must have**:

- Extensive confidence and experience in a similar role
- Demonstrated understanding of payroll systems, relevant taxes and compliance reporting
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- Outstanding attention to detail and ability to think analytically and problem-solve
- A team player attitude with the ability to work confidentially and autonomously
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, in particular Excel
- Knowledge and experience interpreting Awards and Agreements
- Experience with ADP Streamline and Payforce systems will be highly regarded
