Are you a strategic HR professional ready to make a meaningful impact in local government? Hobsons Bay City Council is seeking a proactive and experienced HR Business Partner to join our People & Culture team and help shape the future of our workforce.

**You will**:
You’ll partner with leaders across Council to deliver people-focused solutions where you will:

- Build strong relationships with department leaders to understand their services and workforce needs
- Ensure process compliance with Fair Work and other legislative requirements
- Provide high-level advice and coaching on complex HR/ER matters
- Contribute to strategic HR projects and continuous improvement initiatives
- Prepare high-quality reports, briefs, and correspondence
- Support performance management, culture change, and employee engagement

**What you’ll need to succeed**
- Tertiary qualification in Human Resource Management or related discipline or lesser formal qualifications with substantial experience in Human Resources
- Sound knowledge of best practice HR/ER case management, conflict resolution, and supporting people employees through change
- Demonstrated experience navigating complex legislation such as the Fair Work Act, Equal Opportunity Act, and Occupational Health & Safety frameworks
- A track record of implementing people-related process improvements that enhance compliance, efficiency, and employee engagement
- Strong advisory and coaching skills, with the ability to influence and build trust across all levels of the organisation
