- About the Role:
As the Land & Property Delivery Specialist will be responsible for land acquisition for vegetation carbon project delivery. You will develop a pipeline of land acquisition / leasing options, including on and off market opportunities to facilitate AGL’s carbon strategy.
What you’ll be doing:
- Implement the strategy for carbon project land acquisition-
- Lead project land negotiations from inception to completion with legal support-
- Engaging consultants, external and internal stakeholders and interacting with councils and Government agencies-
- Developing strong local community relationships to facilitate land acquisition and leasing, including resolving landowner concerns-
- Working closely with Traditional Owners Groups where native title requirements are identified-
- Developing a property inventory of carbon relevant infrastructure and assist in identifying requirements to successfully implement a carbon project-
- Supporting the due diligence and final close process for all aspects of property-
- Managing the internal approval and document control process for property agreementsAbout You:
You will be an experienced land acquisition specialist with experience, exposure or an interest in vegetation carbon project development. Your ability to build relationships with a range of stakeholders and negotiate effectively will set you up for success.
What you’ll bring to the table:
- Tertiary qualifications in Legal, property, land or estate management-
- Experience in property acquisition including leases, purchases, licences with a focus on rural / utility property assets-
- Advanced communication, interpersonal and influencing skills-
- An understanding of regional land holdings and contract / lease documentation as they relate to ACCU project development-
- Flexibility to travel throughout remote and regional Australia-
- The ability to work independently and take responsibility to deliver results-
- An understanding of grazing systems, forest systems and rangelands ecology systems is desirable-
