Your opportunity
Mott MacDonald’s Highways team is looking for a highly driven professional to lead our growing team in Sydney.
You will be responsible for leading our roads and highways team and projects whilst working to build our pipeline of projects and exceed client expectations.
We are looking for someone who can provide strategic leadership of our NSW Highways team, collaborating with multidisciplinary project teams both in NSW and across the Asia Pacific New Zealand & Australia (APNA) region. You will also build on your established reputation and relationships to build a solid pipeline of work for your expanding team.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Support and develop the Highways team in NSW and collaborate with interstate leads to manage transport projects across Australia and other disciplines.
- Be client facing, develop and maintain close client relationships and focus on delivering work to an excellent standard, in line with client expectations.
- Deliver, manage and/or oversee a range of projects related to roads and highways
- Collaborate with the broader Transport team to develop tactical strategies that are aligned with sector and unit goals
- About You
You’ll have considerable experience within industry, working on roads and highways projects. This means that you’ll already have well-established relationships with government agencies and contracting clients. You’re either a qualified Civil Engineer or you’ll have other qualifications that would make you eligible for membership of the Institute of Engineers Australia. If you enjoy building relationships in your network to create opportunities and win new work, this is a role that you’ll thrive in.
You will be able to demonstrate the following qualifications, skills, abilities and experience:
- Degree in a relevant field such as Civil Engineering
- Enjoy being client-facing and keen to develop client relationships to assist the team in delivering roads and highways projects and be proactive with clients to deliver and win work
- Experience in managing the successful delivery of transport infrastructure projects
- Adept at mentoring and guiding staff to upskill and assist the professional development of the team
- A keen interest in building capability and innovation across the Highways team
