The Client Engagement and Health Entitlements Section is responsible for:

- Coordinating, preparing and managing Ministerial Correspondence, complex correspondence, Requests for Information and other input as required for the Branch;
- Provision of high quality health program management advice and support;
- Developing and progressing a number of Branch related management reporting tasks and engagement initiatives to support the provision of high quality client service;
- Providing recommendations for complex prior approval requests and requests for further review;
- Developing and maintaining documentation for medical and allied health approvals including HIMNs and web pages; and
- Streamlining administrative arrangements between DVA and Veterans UK under the British, Commonwealth and Allied (BCAL) Veterans scheme.

**Duties**
- Manage Branch wide coordination team mailboxes where you will be responsible for coordinating client related requests for information as well as health approval requests. These requests at times will have a requirement to finalise within very short timeframes.
- Draft written material as required, including but not limited to:

- Ministerial, Executive and Departmental correspondence and Request for Information relevant to the branch.
- Prior approval decision template requests that require further consideration by senior staff or clinical advisers.
- Procedural and resource documents.
- Responding to requests for policy and program advice relating to Medical and Allied Health prior approvals and Medical Expenses Privately Incurred programs.
- Follow escalation processes where necessary and negotiate with stakeholders to resolve escalated cases/issues.
- Promote a client focused culture within work area. Manage and implement cultural and procedural change to achieve a client focused culture.
- Assist with the management and expenditure reporting for the British, Commonwealth and Allied (BCAL) Veterans program.
- Assist with the ongoing development and management of the Branch SharePoint site and other Branch engagement activities.

A merit pool will be established that may be used to fill similar positions (ongoing and non-ongoing) within the next 18 months.
